LOST ?

Grande Cache Search and Rescue is Dedicated To Helping Others.

Being lost is a terrifying experience. It can also lead to tragic consequences. Grande Cache Search and Rescue (GCSAR) is a volunteer group that is dedicated to finding lost persons by the most efficient means possible.

GCSAR personnel are trained not only in search skills, but also land navigation, logistics, evidence retrieval, and search resource allocation. GCSAR also maintains an historical database of lost person behaviors.

Grande Cache Search and Rescue can also assist in preplanning for the search. GCSAR can assist with risk assessment, resource needs projections, mutual aid planning and immediate steps to be taken as standard procedures pending the arrival of the search and rescue task force.

Utilizing the expertise of its personnel, GCSAR provides coordination, support, communications and specialized resources needed for successful search efforts.
Emergency survival skills.

The Grande Cache area is surrounded by mountains and wilderness for at least a 90-mile radius. It is wise to be prepared for any situation that could arise upon leaving home in any direction in this area.
