MISSION STATEMENT

Grande Cache Search and Rescue is committed to:

· locate and rescue lost persons


· recover crucial evidence,

· give assistance during disasters

· civil emergency response

· promotion of outdoor safety.


Dedicated to Helping Others.

Grande Cache SAR is a non-profit society comprised of dedicated volunteers.

All active volunteers maintain provincial and national standards of training.

They have a comittment to provide the much needed community service when called upon by local and provincial authorities.

GOALS

The Grande Cache Search and Rescue team holds a vision to maintain an effective and efficient organization that proudly displays and supports the standards of the Search and Rescue civil emergency response community, through the following:

Communication - To promote communication and cooperation among all types of Search and Rescue civil emergency stakeholders in the community.

Standards - To adopt and implement the province-wide standards for Search and Rescue used for civil emergency response in Alberta.

Training - To facilitate training to meet or exceed the accepted standards. SAR fundamentals include basic skills and knowledge to perform wilderness, inland search and rescue.

Education - To continually update the education of the Grande Cache Search and Rescue team, and to inform the public about Search And Rescue and outdoor safety.

Administration - to manage the tasks, information and assets required to support the Grande Cache Search and Rescue in accomplishing its other goals.

Social Interaction - To promote and provide opportunities for friendly and social interaction.
