What is Grande Cache Search And Rescue (SAR)?

· Grande Cache SAR is a non-profit society comprised of dedicated   volunteers.
· All active volunteers maintain a minimum-standard level of training in   Search and Rescue Awareness, in accordance with provincial and national   standards.
· Its commitment is to provide a much-needed community service when   called upon by local or provincial authorities.

Purpose

To strengthen emergency services in the Grande Cache area through:
· High Angle Rescue,
· Swift Water Rescue,
· Dive Rescue, Search Capabilities,
· K-9 Search,
· Man Tracking,
· Emergency Medical Services and Transport,
· Search & Rescue Management,
· Ice Rescue,
· Dive Recovery,
· Prevention through education.
